Curly Hair?

Hey, I always had thick straight hair, always poofy when i got out of the shower but straight when i blow dried it or let it air dry and slept over night with it. Over the past year my hair has gotten wavy, I know nothing about curly hair. I know your hair texture changes and I think mine has. Wondering how I can get my hair to curl. Like dont comb it after I get out of the shower and put mousse in it?

see what happens if you let your hair air-dry. don't brush it, blow dry it, play with it, anything until it's dry. most hair doesn't air dry wavy, but curly.

if it does air-dry curly, then like 20 minutes after you get out of the shower, hairspray the curls. let them sit. even though your hair is wet, the hairspray will make your hair hold the curl, and it will keep it from getting too poofy. you can do a lot with curly hair.

i pull mine back just about a 2-3 inch wide piece in the middle, and clip it back. this helps if you have poofy roots one day. that always looks odd...

if it DOESN'T air dry curly, then spray it with hairspray and either twirl it around your fingers or scrunch it. also, you can curl it with a curling iron OR a flat iron. if you need to know how to curl it with a flat iron, e-mail me and i'll get back to you. it's too long to type if you already know how.

don't comb it, whatever you do. that just makes it poofy and kills any curls that might emerge. also, wavy hair can look really pretty! just control the poofiness (again, hairspray will help...) and it can be beautiful. good luck!

you can comb it after you shower, to get the kinks out, and untangle it, then scrunch it up with some gel in your hands. thats what i do, and air dry it. or use a diffuser on your blow dryer.

Well, I have extremely curly hair and I could spend bucks on good products but just for the scrunch curl type look and I have alot, I use sauve curl gel, I have used matrix which I love, Honestly my waves make me nutz but play around with on a day your bored senseless your beautiful no matter what

I'm not really a fan of diffusers so I wouldn't suggest that but I do suggest some good curling shampoo like Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curls and Waves and then try scrunching it with Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Scrunching Gel.

I'm a fan of Herbal Essences, it seems to work well =)

dont brush it or blow dry it after you get out of the shower or else it gets frizzy or poofy. Put mousse in it and let it dry like that. To curl your hair just scrunch it with mousse or curling foam. Garnier Frutisse has a really good line of shampoos and mousses and stuff meant specifically for people with curly hair. HOPE MY ADVICE WORKS FOR YOU
