Cutting a baby hair?

I have 10 month old baby boy (race:Black) and he has lots of thick hair. And he does not want to stay and comb it, he cries before u separate the hair, and it keeps him hot, can I cut the hair like half way down, not bald or too flat. Has anyone cut they baby hair before and can there be any problems from doing do...thanks much..

My friend had to cut her son's hair at around 10 months. His hair grew so quick and it was really thick.

The biggest problem was he never wanted to sit still. He used to fuss (as babies do). In the end she used a pair of clippers and cut his hair about 2 inches long. It saved her cutting him open with scissors.

But if your baby will sit still I would have a go. It is trial and error. You will only know if you try.

I agree with useing clippers with a guard on it for the length you want it.Seems safer to me but if you are not comfortable with the sizors or clippers try a babrbor shop or someone who is used to handleing wiggling kids.

My son's hair is getting long and when I tried to cut it he moved and now it's really uneven. I now take him to a barber and pay $10 and he sits still for him. Must be an authority thing or the chair I don't know but now he doesn't look like a little girl anymore.

Take him to the barber for a trim,there won't be any problem as long as you or him is comfortable.
