ok i'm a black women with really long hair i've never permed it and i dont want to because i'm afraid of what it might do to it so how do a get it straighten beside perms and hot combs? if this is possible

i dont really know of anything to do to get ur hair to stay straight other than perming it the only thing i would know to do is to have a weive done, that away it stays straight and u dont have to do it any more, or for a while, i also have never known anything to go wrong perming a black ladies hair, if u have a professional who knows what they are doing most of the time a perm quits working after a while like 20 minutes.

the only thing i can think of is keep a moisturizer in your hair and maybe try a straight iron. honestly, the best thing is ask someone (preferably a professional) to answer that question. those people are the best direct sources, in my opinion! Also-there might be some kind of gel you can use.
