How long does one wait to dye their hair after having a perm ?

my hair isn't african american style.. its more curly frizzy.. i know perms are "bad".. but sometimes i need it to tame my hair a little bit.. and make it easier to comb and whatnot..

ok so the problem is that my roots have outgrown from previous hairdying.. i haven't dyed my hair in many many months.. and i just permed it on august 26.. i was told to wait at least 4 weeks before doing other treatments on my hair.. now i really don't want to wait so long.. i prefer to dye my hair this week.. but i need your opinion..

btw i permed my own hair and i know its safe to dye your hair only if its temperarly.. but i want to dye it my own self permanently..

I well say you should wait at lest 4week because your hair can break from all that chemical, but if you still go ahead and dye your hair make sure you deep conditioner your hair every time you wash your hair, and use less heat as possible. Good luck

hun i have a perm and i have highlights i am a natural brunetter with blonde nd caramel highlights all the way around so it look like im naturaly blonde i have been doing this 4 bout 2-3 yrs and i w8 about at least 2 wks each time i do it cuz it will be perfect!

I was in the same position, as long as your dying it darker and using a good conditioner. I did it after a week :P Im was fine! Oh and my name isnt marcus, i am a woman!
